Prey Master
Any coyote calling tips?
I coyote call with corded Prey Master. The cord can only reach 50 yards. I hunt in the Northwestern part of Oklahoma which has anywhere from canyons to plains. With all that being said, does anyone have any tips that could help me bring in more coyotes?
Coyotes like a little visual too.
Ive done well with a simple trick… turkey feather, yarn or string… drive a stake in the ground about thigh high and tie that feather too it so the wind lets it flutter. That and a little calling usually gets them looking.
Watch the wind Coyotes will stay up wind… if they catch your scent downwind… they will stay away.
Park and walk in…. if you dont have a choice in that… Set up and wait… and wait. They will eventually settle down and go about the business of being a coyote.
Ever see those little toys… little furry toys that look like a cat or racoon… put a battery in em and they flop around? (I see em at Cracker Barrel all the time) … we set those out in some pasture once… and a coyoted came in on that.
